It’s perhaps why this year creative directors Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli gave many of those iconic moments a sleek new look, with some impressive results. Emblazoned with the brand’s signature fragrance names, fall’s logo sweatshirts were a runway hit and were sported by the likes of Nick Jonas, Harry Styles, and fashion fanatic Ciara. The series of re-released Calvin Klein Jeans classics proved to be popular with the One Direction frontman yet again. Certain celebrities embraced the nineties nostalgia from the inside out, and when Miranda Kerr, Lara Stone, and Iggy Azalea posted selfies in the iconic undies, the hashtag #mycalvins seemed to spread like wildfire. But one of the year’s biggest retro moments came with the return of the crop top, which was worn in multiple variations by Kim Kardashian West. And while the knit look was a favorite with Alessandra Ambrosio, Rooney Mara, and even Taylor Swift, it was Kardashian West who showed that the body-skimming silhouette can work on all shapes.
